Description
Mandarine Napoléon is an exquisite and well-balanced blend of tangerines, enriched with 10-year-old aged cognac. Originating in the early 19th century, its history is as rich as its distinct flavour, dating back to the time of Napoleon Bonaparte. The drink was created especially for the emperor after his meeting with the chemist Antoine-François de Fourcroy, renowned for his extraordinary distillation expertise.
Years later, in the late 19th century, Belgian chemist Louis Schmidt discovered the recipe for Napoleon's favourite drink in Fourcroy's diaries and decided to recreate the liqueur based on that formula. Since then, the recipe has been kept secret, passed down from generation to generation. Mandarine Napoléon is extremely versatile, and can be enjoyed in various ways in classic cocktails, with the iconic Napoleon Margarita standing out as one of the favourite combinations.
