The first edition of Quinta das Carvalhas Tawny 80 Anos is a creation of exceptional rarity and sophistication, limited to just 695 bottles. It is the result of a masterful blend of Port wines dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bearing witness to over a century of history and oenological mastery.
Named the Impressionist Edition, this masterpiece draws inspiration from the analogy with the French art movement that revolutionised the perception of light, colour and emotion – reflecting the same spirit of depth, contrast and timelessness that characterises this wine.
The result is a Port of exceptional complexity, with layers of dried fruits, spices, honey and noble wood notes, supported by a lively acidity that gives it balance and freshness. Deeply concentrated and generous, yet elegant and harmonious, it is the culmination of decades of patient ageing in oak barrels and a precise and refined blending art, led by the Quinta das Carvalhas Cellar Masters.
