Description
As with the 2018 vintage, the 2019 Castas Escondidas Tinto comes from a blend of lesser-known grape varieties, traditionally used in Port wine blends, but rarely highlighted individually. These include Tinta da Barca, Touriga-Fêmea, Tinta Francisca, Bastardo, and Marufo, along with other varieties, some with very small planting areas in the Douro. Around a quarter of the blend comes from grapes from old vines, giving the wine greater complexity and elegance.
