Description
This wine, a true Mouchão tradition since 1901, is made exclusively from the Alicante Bouschet grape variety, harvested from the estate's vineyards and trodden by foot in traditional presses.
Halfway through fermentation, young, pure, high-quality brandy is added, interrupting the process and preserving part of the grapes' natural sugar. This is followed by a prolonged period of aging in old wooden vats and barrels, where it rests for six to seven years, acquiring complexity, balance, and the unique character that distinguishes it.
Deep and intense in color, it reveals a bouquet of complex black fruit, spices, and dark chocolate with nuts. Its warm notes of cocoa and tobacco are finely balanced with the freshness of mint and eucalyptus, resulting in a harmonious and distinctive profile. On the palate, it is rich and enveloping, with a velvety texture, great persistence, and a long, elegant finish.
