The Porto Amphitheatrum Vintage 2020 is a unique edition, resulting from Quinta da Gaivosa's most emblematic vineyard — the legendary Vinha de Lordelo, planted in a natural amphitheatre. Composed of centennial vines, this vineyard produces a deeply aromatic Vintage Port, with an opaque ruby colour and great fruit intensity (black berries, plum, liquorice, herbs, and eucalyptus).
This 2020 Vintage expresses all the character of the Douro in a year of extreme conditions, highlighting robust tannins and good ageing potential. Its profile is full-bodied and persistent, suitable for cellaring or for young consumption after decanting. Ideal for special moments, it pairs well with aged cheeses, dark chocolate, and intense desserts.
